Rosinwood Ensemble
Rosinwood Ensemble is a string ensemble of friends who share one conviction: great music is best made in conversation. We play intimate chamber programmes and larger orchestral collaborations, moving from baroque dances to new commissions, and we hope to leave every listener a little closer to the music.
What We Play
Baroque,
Dance and Song
From courtly dances to sacred cantatas, we play baroque works with a lean, singing sound, lively tempos and room for ornament.
Contemporary,
New Voices
We commission and premiere new pieces from living composers and pair them with the classics, so audiences can hear how old and new music talk to each other.
Orchestral,
Full Colour
With guest players and a conductor, the ensemble grows into a full string orchestra for concerts of warmth, weight and wide-ranging colour.
